DESCRIPTION:This popular and time honored Social Mixer is back on our schedule!\n\n \n\nDid you know that this technical skills training for our industry is offered for free in our public schools?\n\nHave you seen any of the 6 wood and tech shops that have just been renovated with state-of-the-art machinery?\n\nYou are warmly invited to the Fall SBCA + TradArt 2024 Social Mixer at Erik Leighland's Woodshop class at San Marcos High School!\n\nCome to school and meet and encourage your future All Stars!\n\nThe Santa Barbara Contractors Association and the Tradart Foundation are hosting a social mixer to help support the growth of the Building and Construction Technology classes in all 6 of the Santa Barbara Unified School District Wood shops. \n\nTradart's mission is to bring together community and industry to support and promote skills based programs that help students succeed in the workplace while elevating confidence in their ability to take a project from planning to completion.\n\nWe want to encourage future members of the construction industry to be involved in new\, state of the art woodshop programs. We understand the importance of introducing our youth to the trades\, which offers meaningful\, alternative career paths to the formal college track. \n\nThese kids are our future! So come and meet Erik\, tour the shop and meet some of the kids to see what a difference this program is making in our Community!\n\nDrinks and light refreshments will be provided. LOCATION:San Marcos High School Wood Shop 4750 Hollister Ave Directions: Enter the Lot C off of Hollister. Drive in and turn left. Park anywhere near the woodshop (you'll see the large dust collection unit and the garage doors will be open).
