Assistant Manager

Duties include: Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and cleanliness standards. Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and team management to ensure excellent customer experiences. Manage shift schedules, coordinate staffing levels, and oversee shift management to optimize productivity. Oversee inventory control, food safety protocols, and proper food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations. Utilize Toast for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Conduct staff interviews, hiring processes, and ongoing training & development initiatives to build a skilled hospitality team. Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for cost control and revenue growth.
Skills needed: Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments. Extensive background in restaurant management, including supervising teams and managing hospitality operations. Proficiency with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; solid cash handling skills. Deep understanding of food safety management, food handling procedures, and kitchen management practices. Excellent communication skills for managerial communication, staff training, and customer service excellence. Ability to perform basic math accurately for inventory control and labor cost. Demonstrated leadership in managing hospitality teams with a focus on team training and development. Experience with budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food cost management within casual dining or fine dining settings.
